{"id":5962,"date":"2015-12-10T03:06:50","date_gmt":"2015-12-10T03:06:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/artes-visuales.org\/criterios-generales-de-acceso-de-la-udg\/"},"modified":"2025-11-28T11:47:32","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T11:47:32","slug":"general-admission-criteria-of-the-udg","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/artes-visuales.org\/en\/general-admission-criteria-of-the-udg\/","title":{"rendered":"GENERAL ADMISSION CRITERIA OF THE UdG"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  <span>For admission to the master\u2019s programme, the following criteria will be taken into account:<\/span>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  <strong>PHASES OF THE PROCESS:<\/strong>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  <span>Three phases are established for applicants who obtained their degree, in Spain or abroad, before the following dates:<\/span>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  <strong>Phase 1:<\/strong>\n<\/div>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Pre-enrolment: 1 April to 30 June<\/li>\n<li>Allocation of places: 17 July<\/li>\n<li>Enrolment: 20 to 31 July<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  <strong>Phase 2:<\/strong>\n<\/div>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Pre-enrolment: 20 July to 18 September<\/li>\n<li>Allocation of places: 25 September<\/li>\n<li>Enrolment: until 9 October<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  <strong>Phase 3:<\/strong>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  Open enrolment until 15 days after the start of the master\u2019s academic activities.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  <strong>Extraordinary period:<\/strong> from 1 February to 15 February\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  Applicants who meet the requirements for a given phase and do not complete enrolment within the established period may take part in the following phase.<br \/>\n  Website:<br \/>\n  <a href=\"http:\/\/gigs.udg.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/gigs.udg.edu<\/a><br \/>\n  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.udg.edu\/fcee\/tabid\/4096\/Default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n    http:\/\/www.udg.edu\/fcee\/tabid\/4096\/Default.aspx<br \/>\n  <\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  NOTE ON THE OFFER OF PLACES: All places are subject to demand. Therefore, only those places that have not been filled in previous phases may be offered.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  TOTAL NUMBER OF PLACES: 20\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  Assessment criteria and weighting\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  \u00b7 Average grade in the academic record: 15%<br \/>\n  \u00b7 Language proficiency: 15%<br \/>\n  \u00b7 Professional interest: 30%<br \/>\n  \u00b7 Other degrees and merits: 20%<br \/>\n  \u00b7 Personal interview: 20%\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  The interview will be used to determine the student\u2019s ability to develop the competences foreseen in the programme.<br \/>\n  Applicants holding a highly preferred degree will always be prioritised over the rest in the selection process.<br \/>\n  In each case, access to the master\u2019s programme will be considered for applicants holding a degree different from those listed here,<br \/>\n  provided that it can be considered comparable in terms of content.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  General admission conditions:<br \/>\n  On the proposal of the Master\u2019s Studies Council, and taking into account the alignment between the competences and knowledge derived<br \/>\n  from previous studies and those foreseen in the curriculum of the requested master\u2019s programme, the UdG may recognise credits for<br \/>\n  applicants who wish to access the master\u2019s programme, provided they hold an official degree in Architecture, Engineering or a Licenciatura.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  Likewise, taking into account the alignment between the competences and knowledge derived from previous studies and those foreseen<br \/>\n  in the curriculum of the requested master\u2019s programme, the UdG may require additional training from applicants holding an official<br \/>\n  degree in Diploma, Technical Architecture or Technical Engineering.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  Entry profiles, prior training requirements and admission and selection criteria:<br \/>\n  students coming from degrees in Early Childhood and Primary Education Teaching, Fine Arts, Art History, Architecture, Music, Theatre and Literature,<br \/>\n  who meet the following personal and academic characteristics:\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  Personal requirements: specific motivation related to the programme, ability to work in a team, capacity to engage critically with texts and references,<br \/>\n  autonomy of judgement and work, and empathy to be able to work on intervention projects.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  Academic requirements to undertake the master\u2019s: holding a bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n  In line with its interdisciplinary nature, although the aforementioned entry degrees are valued, a specific undergraduate degree is not required.<br \/>\n  Training and experience in teaching and visual arts education is valued but not essential.
