1. Organization of the studies within the overall program.<\/em>
\nThis is a postgraduate program that includes a master\u2019s degree in \u201cVisual Arts and Education: A Constructionist Approach.\u201d<\/p>\n

2. Full name of the degrees awarded.<\/em>
\nMaster\u2019s Degree in \u201cVisual Arts and Education: A Constructionist Approach,\u201d offered jointly by the University of Granada, the University of Barcelona, and the University of Girona.<\/p>\n

3. Academic structure.<\/em>
\nEach master\u2019s program is organized on the basis of 60 ECTS credits:
\n24 ECTS credits of academic and research training.
\n12 ECTS credits of internships, projects, or coursework.
\n24 ECTS credits for the master\u2019s thesis.<\/p>\n

The 24 ECTS credits of academic and research training are structured into three modules:
\n1 compulsory common module: \u201cConstructionist Methodologies in Learning and Teaching Visual Arts\u201d for all students at the participating universities (4 ECTS credits).
\n1 module: \u201cFoundations of Visual Arts Teaching and Education\u201d (10 ECTS credits)
\n1 module: \u201cProjects in Visual Arts Teaching and Education in Institutions and the Community\u201d (10 ECTS credits)<\/p>\n

TEACHING METHODOLOGIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The methodology to promote student learning and participation begins with the presentation of an introductory framework by the instructor, followed by dialogue around a series of readings that introduce the concepts and issues addressed in the course.<\/li>\n
  2. In the second part, cases and experiences are analyzed, from which students prepare an assignment that connects and expands (with new readings and examples) the contributions made in class.<\/li>\n
  3. The course methodology requires the use of critical knowledge tools and strategic and creative approaches typical of fields such as Art Education, Aesthetics and Cultural Studies, enabling students to identify the elements and functions that structure discourses around artistic knowledge and to develop constructionist methodologies in artistic research.<\/li>\n
  4. The methodology to encourage student participation begins with the presentation of an introductory framework. Mandatory texts, prepared in advance, will then be analyzed and discussed, as well as examples of projects illustrating diverse methodologies. This will be followed by discussions on how to build bridges between the theoretical debates addressed in the master\u2019s program and educational projects related to Artistic Mediation. Finally, students will share the research projects they develop.<\/li>\n
  5. The teaching methodology will encourage students to follow their own learning processes. Classes will use different group-work techniques, and active participation is expected from all participants: case studies, debates on innovative theories, etc. The teaching process will start from students\u2019 prior experiences in research settings.<\/li>\n
  6. Supervision of the Master\u2019s Thesis.<\/li>\n
  7. Supervision of research or professional practice internships.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    EVALUATION SYSTEMS<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Active participation in sessions and discussion of readings. Collaborative participation in course activities. Reading assigned texts and engaging in debates. Creation of a synthesis map of the relationships between visual culture and education based on readings and activities carried out during the seminar.<\/li>\n
    2. Projects and coursework in which the chosen topic is relevant and the structure is coherent. The development and argumentation of ideas and issues must be consistent and logically articulated in accordance with the chosen visual format.<\/li>\n
    3. Consideration of additional perspectives and bibliographic contributions related to the topic. Reflective and critical dialogue with cited texts and argumentation presented dialogically.<\/li>\n
    4. Assessment by an evaluation committee composed according to university regulations.<\/li>\n
    5. Assessment of the report submitted after the internship period.
