UNIVERSITY OF BARCELONA
Once enrolled, each student is assigned a tutor who will monitor their progress throughout the course. Additionally, during the first week—and over three days—an introductory seminar is held in which all students and faculty present their professional background and main interests, while also resolving initial questions.
The purpose of this activity, which includes an initial introduction to the constructionist approach, is to create a sense of group belonging and to strengthen relationships among participants.
Students are also informed about the services offered by the student support office, particularly those related to residence permits and housing procedures.
Support and guidance systems for enrolled students
Common reception and orientation system for new students across all three universities:
During the enrolment process, each student has a meeting with the faculty responsible for guiding their studies, aiming to design a study profile adapted to their needs and interests.
In the first week of the course, and in order to establish an effective connection with the group, students must present a project related to their academic or professional background.
Each student is assigned a tutor from the beginning of the program who accompanies them throughout their studies and supports them in matters related to adaptation and academic planning.
