The University of Granada is a public educational institution dedicated to providing public higher education services, with the city of Granada hosting the university senate, the rectorate, the management offices, and the central services of the University.

The University of Granada, with Tax ID: Q1818002F, has its main headquarters at Avda. del Hospicio, s/n, C.P. 18071 Granada, and is registered in the Registry of Universities, Centres and Degrees (RUCT), Universities Section, of the Ministry of Education, under code 08.

General Terms of Use

Access to and use of this Website, and all those associated with the University of Granada corresponding to its Bodies, Services, Faculties, Schools, Departments and Institutes (hereinafter, the Portal), grants the user status and implies acceptance of all the terms contained in these General Conditions, without prejudice to the fact that access to some of the services or content available through said pages may be subject to the acceptance of additional Specific Conditions.

The University of Granada may modify these conditions, which will be published, and the user must access them periodically in order to be aware of any changes.

Contents

The information contained in this Portal is intended to fulfil the function of citizen service and general information, and shall not be considered a regulatory interpretation or legal or economic assessment under the terms established by Royal Decree 208/1996, of 9 February, regulating Administrative Information and Citizen Assistance Services.

The information and content of this Portal may not be used as a basis in proceedings against the Public Administration, and the University shall not be responsible for any application or specific use made of it, nor for any discrepancies that may arise between printed documents of the competent Administration and the electronic publication on these pages.

The University of Granada may freely modify or delete the information contained on the Portal, or its design, presentation and configuration, in order to ensure that it is permanently updated and free of errors.

Since the updating of the information is not immediate, we suggest that you always check the validity, accuracy and timeliness of the information and content included on the Portal.

However, although the University of Granada has taken reasonable measures and makes every effort to ensure that the information contained on the Portal is correct, it does not guarantee it to be accurate, complete, or up to date, without prejudice to the information, services and transactions provided through its electronic headquarters in accordance with Law 11/2007, of 22 June, on electronic access of citizens to Public Services. The University of Granada publishes its official information exclusively on its Electronic Headquarters, Official Bulletins and Notice Boards of its Centres and Central Services.

The user commits to making proper use of the contents of this Portal, which may never be used for unlawful activities or those harmful to the rights and freedoms of third parties, or which might violate moral standards, good customs, or public order.

In any case, the use of the information provided through the Portal is the sole responsibility of the user, and no consequences derived directly or indirectly from access to the Portal may be attributed to the University of Granada, particularly regarding decisions about the initiation, development or outcome of administrative procedures, which must be verified with the competent centres, bodies or departments.

In this regard, remember that any user of technologies provided by the UGR must know, accept, and apply the ‘Regulations for the Use of IT and Communication Resources’.

Likewise, the University shall not be responsible when it is not possible to guarantee availability and continuity of Portal operation or the absence of operational failures, service interruptions, transmission issues or access errors due to force majeure, accidents, or any other causes not attributable to the University, or when maintenance shutdowns are necessary for proper service provision.

Intellectual Property and Industrial Property Rights

This Portal is owned by the University of Granada. The Intellectual and Industrial Property rights of this Portal, the CSS and HTML code, pages, screens, the information they contain, their appearance, design, logos, trademarks and other distinctive signs appearing on it, are the exclusive property of the University, except for those elements whose authorship or ownership is explicitly indicated, as well as the following elements, which belong to their respective authors under the conditions indicated by each:

Any improper use by persons other than their legitimate owner will give rise to legal actions available to the University and, where appropriate, responsibilities derived from such actions.

Total or partial reproduction of the contents of the Portal is authorised, provided that their public origin is expressly cited. If any data contained therein is cited, its integrity and meaning must be respected.

Links

The University of Granada assumes no responsibility for links to other Web pages included on the Portal for the purpose of providing additional information and expanding user-accessible resources, as it has no control over them. Should a user access their content, they do so at their own responsibility and under the terms of use to which those pages are subject.

Websites that include links to this Portal may not include false, inaccurate or misleading indications that might confuse users.

Personal Data Protection

Data provided to the University of Granada through this Portal or any other means or medium will be processed by the University of Granada, whose headquarters is located at Avda. del Hospicio, s/n. 18071 Granada, as the entity responsible for the files needed to manage and follow up on requests and queries made through the Portal, as well as for managing and providing services related to research, teaching, study, and university extension. This will be duly communicated to you at the time your personal data is collected, and your consent will be requested whenever required, in accordance with Organic Law 15/1999, of 13 December, on Personal Data Protection (LOPD) and its implementing regulations.

The University of Granada will only transfer your data when necessary for the proper exercise of its competencies, or in legally established circumstances in accordance with the LOPD, as informed when your personal data is collected. Any other data transfer will require prior unequivocal consent from the data subject.

The University of Granada ensures the strictest confidentiality regarding the collection and processing of data provided by users. To this end, it will adopt the necessary measures to prevent alteration, loss, unauthorised processing or access, taking into account the categories of data processed and the level of security required under Royal Decree 1720/2007, of 21 December, approving the implementing regulations of the LOPD.

Users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation or opposition at any time by writing to the General Secretariat of the University of Granada, Avda. del Hospicio, s/n, 18071 Granada (Spain), enclosing a copy of their ID card or equivalent identification document.

Any use of personal data for purposes other than those set out in the UGR Portal shall be the sole responsibility of the user and may be reported to the Spanish Data Protection Agency, without prejudice to any legal action the University may undertake.

Prohibited Actions and Errors

Any user who becomes aware of any activity that may irregularly modify or alter the contents, violate intellectual or industrial property rights, impair proper functioning or impede access to this Portal—activities that are expressly prohibited—must report this situation to the General Secretariat of the University of Granada using any of the contact methods provided on the Portal.
