GENERAL ADMISSION CRITERIA OF THE UdG

For admission to the master’s programme, the following criteria will be taken into account:
PHASES OF THE PROCESS:
Three phases are established for applicants who obtained their degree, in Spain or abroad, before the following dates:
Phase 1:
  • Pre-enrolment: 1 April to 30 June
  • Allocation of places: 17 July
  • Enrolment: 20 to 31 July
Phase 2:
  • Pre-enrolment: 20 July to 18 September
  • Allocation of places: 25 September
  • Enrolment: until 9 October
Phase 3:

Open enrolment until 15 days after the start of the master’s academic activities.

Extraordinary period: from 1 February to 15 February

Applicants who meet the requirements for a given phase and do not complete enrolment within the established period may take part in the following phase.

NOTE ON THE OFFER OF PLACES: All places are subject to demand. Therefore, only those places that have not been filled in previous phases may be offered.

Assessment criteria and weighting

· Average grade in the academic record: 15%
· Language proficiency: 15%
· Professional interest: 30%
· Other degrees and merits: 20%
· Personal interview: 20%

The interview will be used to determine the student’s ability to develop the competences foreseen in the programme.
Applicants holding a highly preferred degree will always be prioritised over the rest in the selection process.
In each case, access to the master’s programme will be considered for applicants holding a degree different from those listed here,
provided that it can be considered comparable in terms of content.

General admission conditions:
On the proposal of the Master’s Studies Council, and taking into account the alignment between the competences and knowledge derived
from previous studies and those foreseen in the curriculum of the requested master’s programme, the UdG may recognise credits for
applicants who wish to access the master’s programme, provided they hold an official degree in Architecture, Engineering or a Licenciatura.

Likewise, taking into account the alignment between the competences and knowledge derived from previous studies and those foreseen
in the curriculum of the requested master’s programme, the UdG may require additional training from applicants holding an official
degree in Diploma, Technical Architecture or Technical Engineering.

Entry profiles, prior training requirements and admission and selection criteria:
students coming from degrees in Early Childhood and Primary Education Teaching, Fine Arts, Art History, Architecture, Music, Theatre and Literature,
who meet the following personal and academic characteristics:

Personal requirements: specific motivation related to the programme, ability to work in a team, capacity to engage critically with texts and references,
autonomy of judgement and work, and empathy to be able to work on intervention projects.

Academic requirements to undertake the master’s: holding a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

In line with its interdisciplinary nature, although the aforementioned entry degrees are valued, a specific undergraduate degree is not required.
Training and experience in teaching and visual arts education is valued but not essential. A level of English at least equivalent to the First Certificate
or higher is required, so that students can work with texts, take part in sessions with guest lecturers and present their work in international journals
and conferences.
